Minority Report

Has anyone seen it yet? From the previews it looks like it could have an interesting premise, but, well, then there's AI...

From all I can tell, Spielberg's successes have been far and spotted... with the exception of Schindler's List, (ok ok ET too..) Jurassic Park certainly did no service to the book, and it's following flick versions lacked any viewable value...

How does this movie cut?

Let's not forget about:
Close Encounter's of the Third Kind, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Amistad, Saving Private Ryan, all the other Indian Jones stuff, Jaws, Poltergeist, and a bunch of other films.
Now, some people may have not liked Hook, AI, the Color Purple, or the whole Jurrasic Park Series. But Spielberg has proved himself, and has not lost his touch. He proved that in Minority Report.

I wont spoil the plot of Minority report...I'll let someone else do that.
All I can say is, it was a very well done movie. One of Cruise's best attempts at acting sofar. It has a solid script. Some good plot twists. A mix of Sci-Fi and Mystery. This movie is not for a person who cannot enjoy a mature film. With previews, it runs about 2 and a half hours. It may seem "slow" to young people for the first hour. While not as "slow" as Insomnia (another great film), it does focus on character development and plot a bit more than mindless action.

Overall a great movie. Worth watching. Very creative and original.
