Videos of Defcon 17 speeches or presentations...

I am new to Defcon and Defcon 17 was my first one so I apologize in advance...

I searched but could not find out what the avg time it takes for videos of the lectures to be posted. I know it takes some time to get them all edited and uploaded, but I want to make sure I'm on the right path.

Thanks in advance for anyone's help. Sorry for the noob question!

I'm not being sarcastic here, but anywhere from several months to a year..

There's a *TON* to transcode and put online and only (Neil|Nikita|ETA) to do it.

Understandable. I was expecting it would take a long time but hoping it would be quick. There were a few lectures I missed because I was in another and would like to see those. Hopefully this year is a record year for vids being posted lol.

This came up in one of the post-defcon 17 wrap-up threads, and since others will probably ask over the next 4 weeks, I've set it as a sticky. Feel free to un-stick it in 4 weeks.

I also changed the title of the thread in such a way that search engines will be more likely to index it based on search words.

No problem. I was wondering what happened...

Is there anything anyone can do to help speed up this process? Is it a bandwidth/size issue or simply a lot of hours needed by specific people?

These are probably legitimate issues, but so is money (to be made by selling videos).

Go check the links in the post defcon 17 section, we just put up some videos the other day, and will be working on more. All the DJs videos are in the process of upload and should go live next week too.

I apprecaite that Dark Tangent. I am looking at the information provided now. outstanding sir highly recomendable. posting a new thread on the forum I own actually. Got any footage of diskrez or the cult of the dead cow? How could there be a con without any cDc Nsf or hacktivismo footage. On a side note I am uploading my own footage from the con xoc footage with members of the cDc chilling casino side what is being called in certain circles legendary non scripted pure entertainment. But you know how we roll the most exclusive underground computer hacking kliqk ever created world wide. Pure non scripted hacking entertainment online video footage. Trendsetting technology on so many levels
