A couple of questions from a first timer

Hey,

I am going to DefCon for the first time this year and have a few questions I am hoping to find the answers to before I book my flight.

1. In the FAQ it says that DefCon 17 will be held July 31 - August 2, are these the dates for this year's DefCon or has the FAQ not yet been updated?
2. I have been seeing some speculation about DefCon being held elsewhere as apparently The Riviera are experiencing financially difficulties; has anything official been mentioned about this?
3. As you can't pre-book tickets how do you go about getting in? Do you buy a ticket on the first day at the hotel?

Answers to these questions would be much appreciated :)

will happen July 29th - August 1, 2010 at the Riviera Hotel & Casino! Admission is $140 USD at the door (no pre-registration available).

Also, checking the schedule from previous years shows that badges (your tickets to enter) go on sale as early as Thursday.)

Yeah, all three questioned are answered in the Defcon18 announcement on the main website.

The only reason this is not in /dev/null is that there is one valid point in this: the FAQ is probably out of date with respect to mentioned dates.

I've contacted Neil about a change to the FAQ with respect to Dates.
