    DC 18 shoot shirt

    So... i'm going to start tinkering with a design for this year's shoot shirts. We had a really great suggestion that came up in a discussion thread a while back, a re purposing of the UN Flag with a regulation target in cross hairs, flanked by long arms and ammo rounds, etc.

    I still like that idea, but there's just something too good about this being DEFCON 18. the temptation is almost irresistible to do something like this...


    the rear design, amid text of the date, event, etc, would be perhaps an M203 or some such item.

    thoughts?

      I have a couple that may be a bit tough to describe. I'll dust off my craptastic photoshop skills and see if i can rough something up to drop in your email.

          Let me know if you need some specific/special M203 pics for inspiration. I doubt however that I would be able to supply one appropriate to your t-shirt theme (cutie of questionable age with M203)...but most anything else should be possible!

              I really was rather fond of the co-opted UN flag, I think the barely legal tag will be low-hanging fuit for the con this year.
              Whatever it ends up being, count me in for a medium. :)

                  i, too, loved the modified UN-flag idea... but that's a concept that can play anytime. with this year being DEFCON 18, i couldn't resist the "Barely Legal" angle. here's what i've designed...

                  i had to poke around a surprising number of sites and videos just to find one that had the typical "everyone is at least eighteen" warning at the beginning, heh. then i dutifully co-opted that legal-speak into the text at the bottom of the shirt.

                  i hope that the two color print on the back doesn't drive up the cost too much. i really like how it turned out, so i want to keep it that way... it's a sort of Hustler meets the iPod effect, now that i look at it.

                          yes... on the advice of someone who sent me a good photo i've revised that image. i'll upload a revised version when i'm back at the house later if i remember to.

                                  i've updated the design a bit and uploaded a new sample image (above). the M203 is closer to modern-sized systems, and some other small tweaks were made to edges of some images. the overall font of the large lettering is narrower, to better match the proper Hustler style font on the front. and, after more research, i added another style of disclaimer line at the bottom that you sometimes see in porn where they mention holder of the "age records" etc etc.

                                  some people have indicated that this might be a design that is a little too risque and possibly NSFW. what do you all think?

                                          I'd respectfully disagree with those people. I mean come on, it's as risque as those shirts that read "FSCK". I've seen California tourism shirts more NSFW than that design.
