Excellent question!

I recommend starting a Def Con group, working hard to get the best local talent you can involved with it, and keep them coming back. Then, despite barely knowing how to turn on a computer, if you listen to them, you just might learn how. Also, have a kegger in your room; that too seems to draw talented people at Def Con. In fact, be eager to ply anyone who looks interesting with lots of booze. The operating system used in the above method was Tenaya Creek Pilsner.

REALLY want to learn? I recommend on top of this that you drive halfway across the country to DC, with one of the brightest people you know, who also really likes to talk.

Now, I'm not saying that anyone I know has actually DONE this...
