    MTG anyone?

Since I don't have any pride or image to protect, if anyone is interested in playing some Magic the Gathering Thursday night (8ish?), LMK... I'll be bringing a couple decks, as will my wife. The way I figure it, it'll be a way to meet more people attending the con. I"m sure we can find some place to play.

Wow... I havent played since 96, but still have my cards... tempting. I'm sure I would get my ass kicked, I did back then too. I think Ice Age were just coming out last I played.

Bring what you got, or grab a pre-made deck from wal-mart... whatever you have, I'll play against. I just played my first tournament in 10 years, and am still shaking off the rust - just figured MTG would be a great way to meet others, drink a few beers, and have a good time to boot.

I'll have to dig my cards out for something like that. I haven't played in something like 10 years. I know the cards are in the garage somewhere. Too little time to find them this year. If you remind me before next years con I'll bring a deck or two.

Hah, that's funny. I quit playing back around Homelands and actually just got back into it a little with my current job (lots of travel, need something to do in towns where I don't know anyone). I don't really have any decks, I do draft, but I might go buy a pair of premade or something.

Thursday Thursday...The Summit is around then, but I'm shy. I'm game.

I'm making up a few extra decks with all the extra cards Ive found (I had a box of a few thousand) They wont be great, and they are a bit shy on lands (mana) but they will be good for getting people into it.

Hehe, wow, it's been awhile since I played. I don't even think I remember how to play, but I'm game for getting pwned.

What formats do you guys play? I am a competitve Type 1 (Vintage) and EDH player...I'm guessing my decks would be "no fun" for casual players (I play storm combo and Workshop based prison/aggro).

On a brighter note, I make 3-d magic cards. If you've never seen a 3d card check out Ookubo's work in this article:

I do similar, but I do not have a decade of experience behind me as Ookubo does :)

DG, I know all my decks would be considered Legacy since they are ~14-16 years old, esp due to now banned cards (Wheel of Fortune x4, etc) . Benefit of older cards is easier play, simpler rules on the cards. Certainly not anything playable in a tier 1-2 setup.

I made up spare decks for each of the following: black, white, green, blue. If anyone has like 5-10 extra mana cards per color they could throw in them, that would be good.

I'll be in town Wed night, probably hanging out in the Con area. Come kick my butt since my old time red deck is pretty weak. (I did testing with it last night, and my wife who never played beat me 3/3 times with each of the space decks I made up).

As far as I'm concerned, I'll play against any format, so bring what you have and don't worry about it. =)

I have a crappy LD deck that I'll play againt type 1, and either a preconstructed deck or a tourney deck I threw together for anything else.

Look here for specific location on Thursday, or look for my tweet: @thomas_wilhelm

not sure where to play, yet, but I'm sure we can find some empty tables somewhere.

I saw a guy doing that back in the 90s in TX, and they were awesome then. With the new art over the last few years, they look friggin' awesome! I'd love to see some of your work - I've wanted to do the same thing for a while.

Bah, I managed to miss this entire thread before. If anyone's still interested in playing this weekend, I have a crappy EDH deck and an OK standard deck I could bring.
                            It's not stupid, it's advanced.

Bring it - I'll have a deck on me all weekend, and can play in the contest area any time.
