  • Lockers?

    Hey guys,

I want to be able to enjoy the pool, without having to worry about having shit stolen. I am staying quite a bit away from the riv, so would prefer not to have to go back and forth every time to drop stuff off, change clothes etc.

Does anyone know if there are any lockers available for rent, say per hour or per 4 hours or something likethat, in the riv, in any other hotel or somewhere close to the riv in general?

I did search through the forums, but could not find this question being answered...

    appreciate any response,
    thanks

Depending on how valuable the items are, you might try checking with the concierge near the hotel registration desk. I think it is at the far left as your face the hotel room registration desk from the public side. The concierge often holds bags when you need to check out long before your flight leaves. They might provide a similar service for other things.

Another option is to find someone with a car that you trust that is also at the riv, though be careful with this as things were stolen from cars early in the week last year at Defcon.

Substitute hotel room at the rive for car if you know and trust someone that is staying at the riv, and store stuff in their room.

Hmm, I don't know anyone, and the concierge might get annoyed if I want to leave it a few times a day....

Modern backpack with locks for zippers, and a bike chain lock to lock your pack to the fence while you are at the pool.

It is a hacker conference... think outside the box.

No, it has to be a locker or storage service.

Solutions such as what you suggested are simply not viable for me.
