  • DC503 Status

Anyone happen to know the status on DC503? Site is down (domain is for sale), whois on the domain points a Russian registrant (hence I doubt that emailing would be helpful), and all searches on the forums show no posts newer than 2006. Despite most signs indicating that 503 is no longer running, I'm hoping that my searches are either just too lazy or in some way flawed.

If anyone knows otherwise or is aware of any other activity (other DC groups or 2600 meetups) in the Portland, OR or Vancouver, WA (note: Washington, not BC) area, any info would be appreciated.

Telco88 ran the group for a long time. He ultimately gave it up and handed the domain off to me for safekeeping until such time as the group could be resurrected (I'm not in 503, but up in 206). I held the domain for years and no one ever asked for it, so I ultimately let it lapse about 2 years back.

Portland is a weird town. Theres a metric fuckton of hackers there..none of whom hang out with each other, despite the fact that they all seem to know each other and consider everyone to be good people..

I return whatever i wish . Its called FREEDOWM OF RANDOMNESS IN A HECK . CLUSTERED DEFEATED CORn FORUM . Welcome to me

Hmmm, I'm a newbie to 503, actually just moved from the 206 (but I wasn't especially active). From the feel of the area, I'm not surprised about the size of the hacker community, but the property that they never meet would make it difficult for me to actually get involved with the local scene.

Well, check out their local 2600. The guy who runs it is a great guy.

Prof Feedlebom lives in Portland. I might be moving up there myself.

                Hey Guys,

I just sent an email into take over as the POC for DC503. Once I hear back I'll post here again with information on our first meeting.

I've seen your mail but I'm a slow dope to responde. As a former 503er and current 206er I can fully appreciate how weird things can be down there. I'll get your contact info updated. Long live dc503~
