Why was Defcon 19 planning activated so early?

I activate the next Defcon related forums once there is mention of the next Defcon on the forums by DT or there is an announcement on the main website:

DEF CON 19 will be at the Rio Hotel and Casino July 29 - 31, 2011!

You just wait. I'll get my revenge! (I'm asking for contests/events returning to Defcon 19.) Feel my wrath! :-D

If there are threads in other forums from Defcon 18 that you want to see copied forward to Defcon 19 planning, please let me know.
