  • Stop. Think. Connect. A Special DHS, PSA Contest.

New Speaker's corner available here: https://www.defcon.org/html/links/dc...ml#psa-contest

Howard Schmidt, Special Assistant to the President and Cyber Security Coordinator has issued a special PSA Contest. This crowd sourcing campaign is in an effort to alert the general public to Stop, Think, then connect, when it comes to their online presence and responsibility. Good, bad, or otherwise, I would really like to see what the DEF CON community came up with.

interesting, his video talking about the contest mentioned a deadline of February 14, apparently its been extended? supposed not many have entered the contest.

    # Contest Period. The Contest starts at 12:01 P.M. Eastern Time on November 8, 2010 and ends at 11:59 P.M. on May 31, 2011 (the "Contest Period."). All entries must be received by 11:59 P.M Eastern Time on May 31, 2011 in accordance with the instructions in section two (2) to be eligible to win a prize.

I may be a newbie here, but i definitely can contribute my 3D animation / V-FX / Motion Graphics skills if someone wants to come up with something and make a team

DO IT!!!! I'd love to see what you did/Can do, no one so far has sent us any links and I was disappointed in that. I'd love some hacker PSA's. Also, We have been known to love using submitted artwork (credited) for many things, like DC TV Filler content and as background images, etc. Send me your links at Nikita at Defcon dot org. Just don't message me here, for some reason that always fails me.

Yep, that's us (DSU). We submitted 10 or so videos; it was a good project.

Paul got to DC last night and tweeted something along the lines of "just had supper at a Burger King and sat at the table next to Dennis Rodman". heh heh.
