    DC6006 / Melaka, Malaysia

Hi guys, I have just started a DC group here in Melaka, Malaysia. It primarily is for students who are studying infosec here with me since I will mostly be using my school's lab for meetups/workshops, but outsiders are welcomed to join the fun too! :) Will keep you guys posted with the group's activities. Cheers :D

hmm... that's what, about 100km from KL, or so? Some hacker types will be in Kuala Lumpur every fall for HackInTheBox, but i don't know how many travel south to Melaka.

I am going to try to this year, probably, to see Singapore. i don't like the idea of going somewhere so repressive, but Fab says i should visit at least once. we'll see if i get arrested for chewing gum or anything.

I don't feel cool when I go there. I'm tired of seeing John Mayer's face pop up. I feel like I'm being hustled when I visit there, and I don't think their product is that great. DRM, low bit rate, etc... OiNK it existed because it filled a void of what people want."

I've spent less than a week in Singapore, but I suspect it's less repressive than you have been lead to believe.

@deviant: it takes around 2 hours of car journey from KL to Melaka. And for the chewing gum in Singapore, that sounds wickedly fun lol. BTW, did you attend HackInTheBox last year? Ryan Clarke was there if I'm not mistaken. :)

@prez: yeah, I think it's less repressive than what we usually think, same goes to the border checks if you are going there by car. They can be strict sometimes.

Thanks! Really hope that all POCs around the world can meet up someday.
