To the best of my knowledge there will not be a HAM License Exam at Defcon this year.

JonM, who normally leads this, is not going to be attending and I will be tied up in the Wireless Village on Sunday this year.

Also, Neil says he received word that "Social Engineering CTF" is going to return to DC 20. Make a forum for this in the next round.

An email I sent out to everyone mentioned in this thread that has stated a plan to run something at Defcon has been sent out. Here is a copy of that email. Email addresses in this copy have been altered:

If you have already submitted your information to the people and
confirmed it, then you can ignore this email. If you know of other
people that were planning to do something at Defcon, and they have not
submitted their information, please pass this email on to them.
    Thanks!

Pyr0 announced an RFI with a deadline to get your request to him if
you want to use resources under his management at Defcon, such as
    space on the Defcon floor.

    The Deadline:

    SKYBOX/SIDEROOMS:
Are you planning to do something that would use a Skybox? Neil says he
thinks Grifter is still in charge of this. You really should contact
him to make sure he has set aside space for you, or risk not having
    any space.

    program, contact Neil.

    WARNING:
I have created many forums for Contests, Events, Social Gatherings,
and parties where I've been told they would return:
    https://forum.defcon.org/forumdisplay.php?f=616

I will be contacting Nikita, Neil, Dark tangent, and Pyr0 to sync the
forum lists with reality in mid-May. If they don't know about your
contest, event or social gathering, I'll close any forum for it. If
you miss your deadline, you may not get any space, or may not be
    included in the program.

Get your info turned in soon!

As you all should know, I am not responsible for an of these
happenings and don't approve anything. This email is a reminder I send
out to those people with these kinds of contributions to Defcon as a
    courtesy.

This PSA has been brought to you by the letter 0x41 and the number 0x41.
And groaning is half the battle. :-)

    Good luck!

User Minga says that the "Crack Me If You Can" contest will return to Defcon 20.

A [forum=661]new forum for Crack Me If You Can[/forum] has been created. The description from last year has been copied forward and may be revised. It is presently:

For the first time, KoreLogic's Password Cracking Challenge is coming to DEFCON as a contest. 53,000 password hashes in 48 hours? You game? (site), (twitter)
I'm guessing "first" will be replaced with "second" but there may be other changes too.

I think that at this time, I have new forums created for all contests, events or social gatherings where the organizer has stepped forward to indicate their desire to run their contests, event or social gathering again.

New contests, events or social gatherings after this point have not yet been added:

Make a forum for "Hacker Jeopardy":

A post from Nikita commenting on its return.

Also include this thread in the new forum, once created.

While talking to highwiz, I checked on adding @defcon101 as a link from the forums description for DC101. It has been added. Thanks HighWiz!
