Depends where you looks, I would suggest going to your local computer or ham swapmeets.. flea markets, garage sales.. bring your own batteries to test with though... also check your local paper... be careful on buying used stuff though, sometimes you have to get something repaired.. so check out how much it would cost to get something fixed first..

you COULD get one that wouls suit your purposes for under $200.
as with anything, it just depends on what you want. they range from $25 to $1200+

the good ones are used by those who camp out on the hill next to area 51 and listen to the millitary test pilots at night.
