so now im wondering, ARE there actual room rates in the contract? what is everyone else paying? I originally payed $190 deposit for the crown on thursday - sunday, thursday according to their website is 169 which would make sense on the 190 dep<first night plus tax?>. than goes down to 149 for fri and sat. is that the actual price? 149 is decent. i called the good old room reservation line and asked them "what is my nightly rate" they tell me "well sir, after taxes its 190.74." im like "wtf, per NIGHT?" "did it go up on me, or what?" she said "190.74 per night". I am confused and wondering wtf. Earlier threads people were having problems with rates as well, but anyone else have 190/night or is it really the 149/night?.....hm..

    later.

Whatever you were originally quoted and put down as your deposit should be your rate for each night of your stay. I had a problem with having been quoted one price (which is the price reflected on my credit card statement), and them telling me my price is now significantly more.

If you're paying what you were quoted, that's what you're stuck with. I, on the other hand, have a great breach of contract case if they decide to fuck me over when I go to check in.

Hey Octal, maybe you want to make a "Breech of Contract Signup Form" and folks can just add their names to it.

AP would be hard pressed to have a single computer work come Monday if they mess with room rates for con folks!

Perhaps the AP is trying to hack the hackers...

just wondering if when you booked the room ( crown ) when was it and were you told it was a one bed room or two now they redid their naming schem and the crown went from a two bed room when i originaly booked (early jan) to a one bed room loft i ended up down grading my room back to a mejestic so i could have two beds with out paying 40 more a night.

They didn't rename it. The crown has always been a one bedroom loft.

                    maybe i'm mistaken .

when i booked (online durring "dates that they were adjusting rates")
the site listed the crown as

                    http://web.archive.org/web/200111112...+Suites&step=4

now it lists that floor plan as one of the royal floor plans
and the floor plan shown now is smaller and different

they just redid their site with flash so a direct link to the crown can't be done but it is smaller and different.

with that many people there, some of varying attitudes... if the AP can't help but screw over the more reserved / peaceful attendees, I can only bet all hell will break loose before the weekend is over...
if it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud; and I'm gonna go there free.
