    DefCon 101

    The facts:

    DC101 will be back this year.

    All but two speakers have confirmed they will be involved.

    Since it is DefCon 20, things may be a bit... different, at 101 this year.

    More information to follow...

      If you are going to start throwing/catapulting T-shirts into the hysetrical crowd again, can you make sure you fire more of the size that most defcon attendees tend to be ;-)

          Looking forward to it, DC101 is always full of great information (for both new and old attendees) and a great way to begin the weekend!

              Not just with DEFCON but computer enthusiasts in general seem to usually be one extreme or another. It's a phenomenon!

                  Scavenger Hunt is looking forward to being a part of 101 again. And this year, it will be something....yea...that's a word.

                      I wear a size medium or small.. Doesn't everyone?

                          A fun time will be had by all. This is one of the few "talks" that I always make a point of attending.

                          I'll feed you some information about the Wireless Village and what is planned for this year as plans finalize.

                              All the speakers have now confirmed.

                              Someone who was a first time DefCon attendee last year, but went on to Win a contest will be one of the speakers on stage, so that should present a very interesting perspective. When I met him before the start of Con last year he was planning spending his time at DefCon just "going to the talks".

                              Since it is DefCon 20 besides throwing out T-shirts this year, I'll be giving away some Exclusive DefCon Survival Kits. I may post the contents of the Survival Kits before hand or I may have them be a surprise.

                                  What does one have to do to get one of these survival kits other than showing up to DEFCON 101 (which I will be attending)?

                                      Having a good question to ask will usually help in getting a prize, as will participating in one of our "mini-games" during the event.

                                      Also, t-shirts are thrown out to the audience throughout the happenings.

                                                  Depends on the way you look at it. Many will say that Defcon 101 is the start of Defcon for them so that makes it on Day 1.

                                                  Others who have been working on setting up for a few days before many of us get there will say its on Day 2, 3, or more.

                                                  Either way do not miss it!
