The BroCTF pre-registration has been released at http://www.broctf.org. As always pre-registration is not required to play though it is highly encouraged to ensure you receive a spot. We'll be able to accommodate 48 concurrent teams on the network this year and walk-ons will always be allowed given physical and network space.

BroCTF is a fairly involved competition and you should expect to be spending most of your days participating in it in order to do well. That being said, only a portion of it really requires network access so you could technically work on portions out by the pool but you wouldn't have access to up to date information. The network shuts down at 10pm and then it's time to rage.
All the challenges will be solvable with a laptop, free software, and materials found at DEFCON or would normally be on your person. The subject matter spreads the entire spectrum of infosec and can range from websec to hardware hacking.Comment
