As an east coaster I've been toying with this idea for a while but it's really a community thing. There are a bunch of toys I'd like to bring to Def Con but I really don't want to put them on the plane ( or it's a PITA) What do you think of the idea of a truck driving from Boston to Las Vegas with various stops along the way at major citiesin the week prior to Def Con At each city it would be possible for a a fee to load a bag or two on to the truck for later pickup at Def Con?

A couple of rules:

• No guns or drugs
• Truck driver get to search the bags.
• You lock your luggage after search

We'd have a bag tracking system to to assure that the bag you drop off would be the bag you pickup as well. I'd like to tie this in with a couple of hacker spaces so that our trusty driver could sleep/park in some good location in each city.

For those of you that don't know or read about it, Agent X is a Defcon goon, so this idea is not just "some guy on the Internet wants to truck stuff for me."

I'd actually be very interested in this, but I'm not sure how I'd be able to hook up with the driver except in the evening. It would depend on price, too.

Are you just looking to haul cargo or people too? I'd be willing to chip in for gas and take some shifts driving.
