Thanks to the guy in the lane next to me that threw half a box of 9mm to me for nullterminal since I was out of 9mm at that point. I was worried that the second to last cease fire was going to be the last cease fire so I blew through all my remaining 9mm at that time. Suggestion for next year: announce cease fires a few minutes ahead of time (which was done this time), and let everyone know if there will at least be another shooting opportunity that session. Since the schedule gets pushed back, it is sometimes hard to know.

The tables behind the line to load mags were very helpful.

And whoever hauled out all the title II stuff (shrike, colt m16, uzi, m60, 1919, etc), thanks, that must have been a lot of work.

i love that goddamn Serbu super shorty. it is easily one of my favorite things every year.

my Top Three, however, still remain...

#3 - 40mm grenade launcher
#2 - 50 BMG whenever it appears
#1 - the cannon

... i love them because everyone gets to enjoy them a lot more. i think i'm only one of like 4 people who will single-hand that Serbu. i like to see many people get in on the act. i hear that the Documentary Crew got good footage of the cannon, so i can't wait to see that.

it's a pity that all the cameras we have on the site (both small and professional-size) can't adequately capture the sound of being at the DC Shoot.

when that cannon goes off, or even when the .50BMGs are shooting, it's like the little mics on cameras just get overwhelmed and can never do justice to the atmosphere of the firing line. ...save for capturing some of the car alarms in the background.

i wonder how things were for the Documentary crew, since they had a full sound setup, etc.
