Hello folks.

No, Eris and Vandal will NOT be attending DEFCON 21.

This is not due to ANY issue with DEFCON or any of its staff.
It is a very expensive trip for us to be in Vegas for a week (what with flying in from Asia and all)and frankly, now that we are not running a contest, we are looking forward to some time off from thinking about DEFCON all year, every year.

I know there is a lot of gossiping going on, and a TON of misinformation being spread, so STOP IT.
We are taking a year off. We have done it before, we may do it again. It's not a big deal.

Anyway, we will return for DEFCON 22. Besides, all anyone ever does when they turn 21 is down 21 shots of everclear
and end up in the hospital by midnight. I have held DEFCON's hair back before, I don't need to see that again.

The Scavenger Hunt is not tied to the people that run it. It has been going for 16 years with mulitple crews taking it over along the way. It has been passed down to a new crew who will put their own unique stamp on it. Not to worry, bjaming, you will be able to walk by the contest table and receive random trashbags full of items you probably shouldn't touch anyway. Go and say hello to Salem, DualDFlipFlop and the Kaybz at DC 21. Tell them Eris sent you for a special prize. I don't guarantee you will like it.
