There is generally a core group that shows up, other people like to come hang out and split off if they aren't hungry or whatever... Generally it is Freaky, Miss Turtle, Korben, Bartender, and I. Sometimes Nulltone, FReCKLeS show up depending on their schedules. This will be astcell's first time if he makes it, pyrophite if he makes it, and your first time if you make it. Then there are just people who show up and chat, sometimes they come back, and sometimes they don't... you can read all the adventures I have posted about what we have done in the past and who has shown up, etc... :)

When I go to Long Beach I am all over that town. Just found almost 300 open APs driving there and back. I'll b in Long Beach Oct 4th next, maybe have Blackwave's yagi by then too.

grrr. i was hoping i was the only wardriver in long beach, If your gonna be in long beach u have to try signal hill. One small block had just over 10 aps, I also found alot of the same ssid w/ diffrent mac addy's . Its called "amsscshopfloor" . All have wep. Don't know where its coming from yet. I think i have spotted around 10 or so by the airport, and on cherry ave crossing the 405 freeway.

well... when all set up w/ all my gear,(started about a month ago, but w/out gps, omni,mappoint etc.) i wanted to have the responisblity of doing a sweep of my own town that i live in. So when in the next coming year when it gets a bunch of atenstion,or atleast alot more than it is now, i can say to my self i was at least "one of the first" to sweep my city. Sorta like how u organized irvine. And when i mean " the only wardriver" i kinda ment me and my buds that go out wardrving. Im sure some one has done alot in my city, but none that i know of in the stumbling forums, or defcon forums. So its just braging rights for my ego. Now i guess i have some work to do .

Interesting motive indeed. Centralizing something inherently decentralized. Hopefully you are uploading your found data to a database or two.

I will be in Long Beach this Saturday mainly for the Coin Show, to see the $100,000 bill and some other neat things. I cannot go to Toorcon because I may have to work that weekend, I got "the dooty" and am stuck to a 45 minute response time.

I'll wardrive the Convention Center and I really want to do Del Amo Mall too.
