ICS Village: Tentative forum creation until final approval & resource allocation

Hello everyone!

Word from long-time mod and DEF CON Goon AlxRogan is that forum member phaktor and others will be running a new village this year, pending approval and resource allocation from Pyr0's department: Contests and Events.

Because this as a village was pre-announced by the official @_DEFCON_ twitter feed and elsewhere establishes a very, very good probability for it to happen this year.

This forum has been created based on this probability. If we later find this is not a village approved, then I'll end up either closing or removing this forum. (Forums follow decisions of those that decide about what contests and events will happen and create forums based on these past decisions until decisions are finalized.)

The guys shipping the equipment (big heavy scada stuff) for this one are with me this week, and curious/worried about some logistics and details to get the gear to Defcon. Could somebody let me know the best contact for them to sort out shipping logistics, timing, location, etc please? TIA.

For organizers, you should probably contact your Contest/Event Goon (Like Pyr0, or other members of his team that you have corresponded with on this event.)

If you are not the primary organizer for a contest/event, then talk with the person that is, and see if they can get in contact with the contest/event goon working with you to get you access to DEF CON resources.

If there are DEF CON resources available for this kind of things, this is the best way to go about this.

If you do find a solution to this, please post a follow-up here, to let people know what you did, and his this was resolved, so others encountering similar problems can try the same path to solution.

You should be able to get any info from Pyr0 or hackajar. Their emails should be attached to the ICS Village email thread. Let me know if you can't find them.
