  • Dell TrueMoblie and WEP for Win9x

A few questions to start with.
    1. is a Dell True moblie card a lucent gold? if so would the lucent drivers support the card?
    2. is there a WEP cracking program for windows, similar to airsnort just for windows?

Oh just listen to your sig and use *nix already. To answer your question it's just a rebranded Agere/Orinoco/Lucent Gold... take your pick on the company name, it changed quite a bit lately. As for any windows questions, I don't use it so can't help you there. Works great under the hermes driver for linux though.

The Dell truemobile 1150 that a ton of of purchased from overstock.com work wonderfully well on my iPAQ :) Using the compaq Drivers. They were pretty cheap, and terribly hard to resist. ... Currently there is no reliable wep cracking utility for the Windows system.

I acually just wanted it so that I wouldnt have to change my OS when I wanted netstubler and airsnort at the same time. and I love my unix.........:D The WEP crack would just be convinent to have along side netstumbler.

                GPS

I also use eTrex for my GPS. I use the eTrex Venture. I have nothing but praise for them.

Thank j00. Time to get stumbling. I did it a little in the Monterey Bay area, picked up a few. What is the range on a truemoblie card w/o attenna? cause I think that there where alot more but they where just out of range. Is that WiFi central netstumbling kit a good buy, or should I just fashion my own antenna (pringles)?

I like the Fab Corp antennas. I actually have two...but I'm beginning to wonder if Fab Corp should be giving a bigger discount due to all the people that get refered to them....:D
