This doesn't really apply to this topic but I was wondering how long the ipaq battery will hold up when a pc card expansion pack is connected? I know there is one with a battery and without, but I don't wanna spend the extra money if it doesn't get me anything.

I have the PC Card Expansion Pack Plus 249708-B21
and I would say it lasts no longer than 2 hours of solid scanning with netstumbler using an ORiNOCO PCMCIA card...
your best bet is either to:
.. get an extra battery or two..
... get a custom power/data combo cable that does serial to your gps and power to the dc car adapter
.... take a break and recharge the battery over lunch whilst wardriving...
