I dont think the wifi would support the shear ammount of bandwidth taken up by the LAN party. And I am sure everyone would bring some sort of crazy modded computer, but I wouldnt want the focus of defcon on gaming.

my comp is fuckn ass huge i dont have a laptop cuz i dont have enough money. but i can bring it the only fear i have is getin hacked while concentrating on a game. i dont like quake cuz of the security risks. starcraft is ok. warcraft sucks. i dont have a bigillion games. i might just bring the comp im designing now cuz thats shit. The one im desining now is just from the spare parts laying around. here are the specs of my crap one NOT MY GOOD ONE.

133MHZ pentium.
32x creative cd
linux redhat 7.3
windows 98 (dualboot)
slow ass 4 year old mother board
49mb memory.
non ATX

so you see this is shit so if i bring somthin its this cuz i gots nothin on this that can be stolen crashed fuked up etc. :)

should i just up this up on the network and let everyone hack it.
if i do that i need somone to help me strengthen it cuz its security now sucks and im into finals tomorow

well, for a decent game, I would certainly think about running your own catv... anyone caught hacking or DoSing a sys on the game network gets beat the shit out of for being a jerk by all the other gamers..

although, gaming is the last thing I'd think of doing when it comes to the con... there just isn't enough con to fit con in, let alone a lan party
