that is a nice antenna, just make sure you dont squish the cable in your door.

Pac wireless just came out with a new 7 db mag mount. Looks a lot better the the original I think. You'd be suprise what 2 db can do :).

Damn, all ready ordered the 5db mag mount. For the little wardriving that I will be doing I think the 5db should be good, but if its not I can always order the 7db if I save up some money.

                Eye in the sky....

I am not one to drive around all the time trying to find the hot spots... I drive to an overlooking area. On my Dell (yes I got a Dell) 8100 I have a Cisco Aironet 350 with external anteanna. First I scan with a 19db Flat panel the zoon in with a 1.5 ' dish.... using a map, I am zero in on the areas that I want to stumble through and then I use (2) 13db flat panels in my back window.... and log the street.... this works very well and I have covered most of the county I live in... I am 2 wekks into the mapping.... full county map to be release soon :)

I know that I am using higher dollar equipment, but it is also what I do for a living... wireless ISP Sys Admin...

Thsi is in the So Cal Area....
