Caravan From Quad Cities Illinois/Iowa (Moline, IL/Davenport, Iowa) to DEFCON

Just putting the word out there... Would like to meet up with the ECDC if possible (time frame/schedule).

The Quad Cities is located on/between/north/south of the intersection of Interstates 80 and 74 (plus the 280 bypass).

I am unsure as to what the ECDC schedule is yet, but when someone does know, please let me know.

As of now, we have room for two more people (one if we bring a lot of gear) in my 2002 Grand Prix....

Anyone that would like to meet in this area or travel here to meet the ECDC, let me know...

Not sure about HighWiz and crew, but I still have to finish mapping out my route, although my timeframe is pretty static. I believe he is maintaining a list, so we get out more info as soon as it is formulated

I kinda figured that most plans would be in place soon... I also have been spreading the word to a few more groups from this area to see if anyone else is game.

I hope we can be a posivite force/contributors to the caravan. Any assistance will be gladly offered.

well, i just wanted to post because i felt i needed to.

i was in galesburg, going to college there, but i've come to my senses and went back to galesburg. too bad, too, beacuse i may have been still there and up for driving my jeep back accross country.

some of us may be coming from pgh and may join the caravan. we are right by orute 76 here, and not far from 74 or 80.

Just getting around to figuring out some actual travel plans here. Going to school in Kirksville, MO, which doesn't look to be too far from the Davenport area. Wouldn't mind hooking up somewhere, to either meet up with another caravan or to just head straight to Las Vegas. Driving my jeep, and may have passengers and/or some more vehicles... never like to plan things too far ahead... If this works with anyone's planned route, drop me a line.

well i think the most fun would be if we stopped and got rooms at some little strip motel and got all the rooms and had a little pre-defcon defcon. haha . sorry i think it would be cool to have a ton of defcon goers to get an entire motel. and have a little party.

I know a little bit more about when and with whom I will be traveling, so thought I'd post it in case it will work out with anyone else's plans. Right now it looks like there are 4 of us, we probably won't all want to be crammed in a jeep for 36 hours, so hopefully two cars. Looks like we're leaving tuesday morning and our reservations are for wednesday... I would be all about the pre-party fun, but that would probably mean my friends and I would need to take another day off work to account for it and still get there on wed, and since we're already losing a week... However, we're arriving a couple of days early to makeup for that, I do hope there will be some fun parties there.. ;)
