I do not run this contest, but kajer has announced the intention to bring OpenCTF back to DEF CON 23: https://forum.defcon.org/forum/defco...764#post195764

Forum has been created, and this thread is here as a place-holder with information from present description, copied from last year:

Not to be confused with the original Capture the Flag (CTF), OCTF is organized by The Open CTF Group to be played openly by people at Defcon. (Formerly known as the aCTF or "amateur Capture the Flag.") (site).

Last I checked, no. I did get information about new contact info to be used this year, but after asking if it is good for public release, I received no response. No response means no permission.

Contest & Events is not my department. I am only guessing, but I would expect there to be a RFI announcement soon. If you don't see anything from the goons in charge within 2 weeks, please remind me, and I'll go bug them about it again.
