DC818 - SFV Group startup. Seeking interest.

The SFV (That's San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles County, California, USA, Earth...) has (in my experience) not seen a local hackerspace nor DC group, ever. I believe it is time to change that. I don't have a website up just yet but if anyone is looking for that small push to get one started, let me know. There is a lot of talent in this area and it's time we get together and hack the planet. or just share some knowledge, drink, and come up with some awesome projects.

Best thing to do is try to contact any existing "PoC" for the 818, and if nobody responds, then follow the FAQ for starting or resuming a DCG:

If there is no such DCG in your area code, then use all your social media to generate interest and find people that like the idea and want to join you.

I do not run the DCG. The suggestions here are based on what has been effective in the past. I think the present guy that manages which DCG are active and which are not, and can re-assign PoC for DCG is Blakdayz.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to find an existing group or PoC in the 818 area. The 213 and 805 are not active anymore, and haven't been in quite a few years. I'll give the social media thing a go. Thank you for the information.
