  • Whiskey Tasting?

Those who have taken part in BourbonCon during DerbyCon, know that it can always be a pleasant experience sharing stories over a nice glass of whiskey. I was wondering if anyone would be up for a small get together at Defcon. If people are interested, I propose the following guidelines (and they are of course subject to discussion):
    • Everyone who attends would need to bring, at least, one bottle of whiskey (of a size shareable with others)
    • Whiskeys should not be something that you can get from any local liquor store (you may like buffalo trace, but you can pick up at Target).
      • This does not need to be expensive just hard to find or unusual (though expensive and rare is always appreciated)
      • examples of hard to find but not expensive would be regional distilleries
      • Additionally, please make sure it is something at least you enjoy (you don't need to bring something everyone will enjoy but it shouldn't suck)
    • Attendance will need to capped based on the size of the room, and of course age (e.g. attendees will need to be of drinking age)
One thing we would need to find early on is a location so if you know of one we can have for free (keeping in mind that this is not a sponsored event) please speak up.

If there is interest I will see about setting up a mailing list and a google spreadsheet to track whiskeys.
