DEF CON Groups - General Conversation

Just a heads up!

We are getting ready to remove all groups (We will archive the old threads) and rebuild the way groups are displayed.

We have two choices, all DCG in one giant list, or DCG organized by country.

2. https://forum.defcon.org/forum/gener...?tab=topic-tab

Currently option #2 is the most popular, but means a bit of work creating all the sub forums for each country and getting the groups re-added. This will be a long project we want to complete before DEF CON 27. This means only current groups listed at https://defcongroups.org/ will get re-added.

In example 1, each DCG has its own forum, while in example 2, one forum has one thread for each DCG.
If DCG will be threads in a forum, where the forum is the name of the country, should the order of display for United States DCG have a prefix for 2-letter state code, then sort by state?
What will the expected naming convention be for each DCG thread in the forum by country?
XX - DCG YYY , City Name (?)

YYY=Area Code

Alright! Initial rearrangement of the DCG forums complete.

You will notice everything in is in one flag forum now, and we have moved over all of the important FAQs from https://defcongroups.org/ and will keep them up to date here.

Next week week we will unveil the updated groups section of the forums and the new way we will be displaying and promoting DEF CON Groups!
