Summary and Leadership Structure

Defcon512 was started in 2020. It was formed by several local hackers. Robert Willis, James Medlock, and Christopher Caruso.

Meetings

We started during the pandemic and have been meeting online via zoom meetings. Our future meeting physical location will be Fast Eddys in north Austin.

Areas of Special Interest
We are big into Penetration Testing for networks, web applications, and wireless. We are practitioners of offensive security, and are always building automated tools and training.

Current Projects

Currently creating a large database of training to educate newer infosec professionals.

Cool Things About Us:

Many of us are current military, working in cybersecurity. We are always working with those newer to infosec, helping with training and obtaining certs.
