Modern vehicles are home to tens of Electronic Control Units (ECUs) that each manage a different subsystem of the vehicle. With the control of the vehicle distributed across so many machines, sharing information in a robust, timely manner becomes a necessity. In-Vehicle Networks were developed to meet these communication needs, bringing functionality optimized for the automotive environment into the industry.
