Volunteering Stuff

I see that DefCon is an organization, and that people volunteer for stuff, so I figured I'd drop a message and say, "HEY, how can I help." I'm willing to help run events and stuff, or bring my 120 port 10/100 switch, and what not if anybody would like me to. I want to make the most of this trip, and I figured I might as well contribute to the goodness of the event in the process. Who do I contact for stuff like this?

well, various members of the Defcon organization are on the board, so as far as contacting someone, I guess you just did..I'll forward your message off to the planning list..

Turns out reg was full up, so I'm back in the "available to goon" pool. I've had a friend of mine who's a current goon pinging noid every now and again re: security, but noid seems to be in full-firewall mode.

I was rather looking forward to being goonish this year, but given the way staffing seems to be going, it sadly may have to wait.

If anyone needs a reliable, mature (i.e., 30+) goon, let me know.

Ah. Just had sushi with her. She said she's been sending messages to the DC staff list about me since January, referencing noid and security. Not knowing how she worded it, it's entirely possible it went unnoticed.

So..err, in need of someone?
