While we don't yet know if DEF CON 29 will be in-person or virtual only we do know the preferences of some contests:

• Virtual contests will happen on-line only, even if DEF CON is in person. These contest will be open to everyone around the world.
• Hybrid contests will happen either in-person and/or on-line depending if DEF CON is in-person. These contests are flexible and will make it happen one way or another.
• In Person contests will only happen if DEF CON is help in person.
