Written by the impossibly prescient Philip K. Dick in 1956, 'Minority Report' was turned into a big-budget movie in 2002. It's a story set among a lot of things that didn't exist in 1956, and barely existed in 2002 — artificial intelligence, governance and policing by predictive algorithm, commercial media ubiquity. Now that we're firmly settled in the age of the algorithm, let's watch it together and see how it holds up.
