  • Am I Able to Transfer a Room to Someone?

I have a room reserved at Paris from the Wednesday before DC29 through the following Monday. I no longer have need of the room as I have found another location for a room. Is there any way I can transfer this reservation to someone else that is going? I am not going to pay for the room but I am sure someone would want the reduced rate for the block they set aside for us. If this is possible to do without the release of PII and CC#, please let me know.

    Peace!!

People have transferred room reservations before, but it has required sharing PII or a token which shows history with vendor that has your PII.
This year there is an expectation for DEF CON to have a much , much smaller selection of people, so much so that this year there is probably not a shortage or rooms available at the hotels.
Until rooms are in short supply, there is usually little interest in accepting someone else's room reservations.
Check with the hotel on ending your reservations... Many hotels in Las Vegas allow for cancelling reservations a week before arriving without any penalty. Don't wait to long or assume this is correct. Contact your hotel to find out how much time you have to cancel without penalty, if any.

You can probably cancel your reservation at no cost until the day before your reservation. I think that Linq had tha tpolicy and I would be surprised if Paris didn't have it as well, knowing that their own by the same group.

Yes, I can cancel without penalty. I was concerned that someone that is headed to DEFCON would need a room for the reduced rate. Well, I need to cancel. I hope it helps someone.
