Keyboard problem ??

Got a Dell latitude laptop from a friend, Keyboard is totally messed up.
When I type from letters u-p,h-l I get numbers ??
also others like ()=?¨';._ gives me other signs ??

Any suggestion what will fix this

hmmm... type in the following unlocking sequence:

F
M

chances are you have used some type of function (fn) combination to put the keyboard into its alternate mode, the manual for your laptop should describe how to toggle this almost useless feature. :)
