Currently in alpha and being discussed on the Netstumbler forums (*which one must be registered to see a valid link):

Its intended use is to test and prove the alleged wireless spammer theory that the media continues to pursue and boast. Though this tool is not exclusively for wireless, it is pretty handy to log incoming traffic that is trying to be sent out to the real world, and by toggling the proxy mode you can allow a live connection.
A few wireless hotspots simply block port 25, and some just leave it open...
