In addition to the food, volunteers and participants team up to make Toxic BBQ truly unique every year with unique offerings from their region or kitchen. While we encourage everyone to contribute in their own way, here are a few specific side attractions we hope you’ll participate in:
- Homebrew Competition: bring your own brew to share and duke it out for the crown with extra special Swag for the winners. Everything from individual bottles to electronically monitored taps have made this a hacker’s delight Year after year. Beer, cider, mead and wine all welcome. All brewers will receive Swag. Prizes awarded for best in show.
- DC Peppercon: the monarchs of spice island invite you to challenge your tastebuds with home grown hot pepper sauce, rub, and infused spirits. Can you handle it?
- Local Brew Share: Bring your local favorite to Vegas and share it with 400 of your closest friends. Please make this as weird and wonderful as possible.
- Sun and Alternative Fuel Cooker Exhibition: New this year, we’re asking people to design, build and show off cookers using non standard fuel and heat sources. All participants will receive Swag. Best in show prizes awarded. See https://www.toxicbbq.org/p/reheat-meat.html for details.
