They ran outSo, my badge this year was inspired by the ongoing chip shortage. Rather than try and find modern chips, I decided to go old school. I present the Z80 Retro Badge by Uberfoo Heavy Industries.
This is a fully function 8bit microcomputer model after so of the first generation of personal microcomputers.
The plan is to have CP/M 2.2 running on this so it will be able to run original Z80 software including some old text adventure games like the Zork series.
4x addressable RGB LEDs are included for requisite blinkyness. An expansion port opens up possibilities for adding additional hardware in the future.
The badge will be available from Hacker Warehouse during DEF CON for $130.
