Howdy! Looking to reactivate DC585. Is there something specific I need to do for that?

Good question, I think we mention that in the DCG FAQ, but basically email info@defcongroups.org to kick it off.

thanks! I tried that address but got a bounce from the server saying it is not a valid one. looking at the faq now, I see it refers to dcgroups [at]defcon.org, trying that now to see if that has better luck.

Yep, it is possible that "info@defcongroups" was enabled at one time, but it isn't right now. I see dcgroups [at] defcon.org is live as of "now" and should work to deliver your message to all the people involved in the process of new or resurrecting DC Groups.

What happened to DC586? The group that is.

presuming you mean dc585, long story short: it merged with roc2600 for a bit, then went sort of dormant for a bit, and is now in the process of spinning back up, albeit slowly. feel free to ping me directly if you have interest in helping that happen.
