    Making a SAO

A small group of us is talking about making a SAO. We know next to nothing.

Can someone make a suggestion for a CAD design program? Initial research suggests KiCad? thoughts or experience?

Any suggestions for a vendor that can make the badges after we design them?

I've made a few makeshift SAOs drafting in FreeCad, 3d printed with the connector and component holes in the print. I've also made a 3-up SAO holder, with battery and charger, that way.

I don't have the means to print conductive circuits, so I just used re-work wire on the rear, held in place with black nail polish. It actually works quite well. These are just simple SAOs with LEDs and such, simple light-bulb type circuits, nothing elaborate.

I'm also working with a few others on building an Angry Cat full-blown badge which will run Zork (really!) and do simple video blackjack and poker. Both I and one of the others have them semi-working. The one I did I used re-work wire but one of the others is trying to 3d print conductive traces with only so-so success.
