I'd like to say thanks to Dark Tangent and the DEFCON Team. This was my first DEFCON and I honestly enjoyed it. I realize there were issues, which honestly I expected, but that didn't really detract me from enjoying the experience.
I also enjoyed VETCON which was real nice to see and connect with other veterans. I felt welcomed too. I was hoping to network more but unfortunately it ended abruptly. At first I thought it was some sort of troll against us, but realize the whole DEFCON attendees had to leave too. With true military humour one of the VETCON Goons said they needed 4x EOD volunteers and get to work, hahah. Hopefully VETCON happens again next year.
Even though I wasn't able to get into villages that I wanted to, and also I wasn't able to get some hands on in the villages, I still learned something from observing attendees that were either doing a CTF, doing their own projects, or talking with them. Also talking with the various village staff/coordinators.
I will attend again and hopefully this continues on. Once again thank you Dark Tangent and to the DEFCON Team.
