The Internet Governance Forum, a U.N. body for multi-stakeholder engagement on internet issues, is holding its 18th annual meeting next week in Kyoto. Much of the content from the Forum will be online and there will be panel discussions on many technology-related policy issues. To get a feel for some of the content, check out the details for a panel on encryption's role in safeguarding human rights featuring Roger Dingledine of the Tor Project, Rand Hammoud of Access Now, and Sharon Polsky. You can peruse the IGF conference site for more information on other panels.
