On November 9th the U.S. State Department released its inaugural Enterprise Artificial Intelligence Strategy. According to a release from the Department, the strategy presents a vision for "artificial intelligence (AI) innovation, infrastructure, policy, governance, and culture by inaugurating Department-wide guidance for the responsible and ethical design, development, acquisition, and appropriate application of AI."
While this seems to be a strategy largely focused on how the Department will use AI to further its mission, it will obviously be a document that many foreign partners will look to for guidance and perhaps even be the baseline or starting point for bilateral or multilateral engagement on AI and related technology issues.
Here is a link to the full text of the Strategy if you are looking for some light weekend reading.
