Any news about DefCon Seattle 2024 Registration?

Hi everyone,

I'm a noob when it comes to DefCon. My company is sponsoring to avail opportunity to go to DefCon for me and for few of my colleagues for joining talks. I see the registration has opened (https://shop.defcon.org/products/def...vention-center) for DefCon Las vegas (DefCon32) however there's no news for Seattle event.

Also, while I do see events in calendar for DefCon32 event in August, it doesn't mentions anything about Seattle event.

Having said that, I can see the training itinerary for Seattle event in https://training.defcon.org/collections/dctseattle2024 but that doesn't mention anything about the Talks.

Question:

Does that mean the DefCon32 Las Vegas event would be for both Trainings & Talks. AND, Seattle event is going to be only for Training?

Or, am I too early to see any news about Seattle event, and that there would be pre-registration open for Seattle event with time?

I am not in charge of "DEF CON training" so nothing I post here in reply is authoritative for DEF CON training.

The "DEF CON Training" events are not the DEF CON conference.

The badge people buy/acquire for the Las Vegas DEF CON conferences does not grant access to the Las Vegas DEF CON training which for Las Vegas, has taken place Monday after the Las Vegas DEF CON conference ends on Sunday.

Also, buying a DEF CON training course does not grant a student of training access or a badge to the Las Vegas DEF CON conference. (There may be a time where this changes, but to the best of my knowledge, training purchases are just training, and DEF CON badge purchases are just for the DEF CON conference, not for training.)

This same theme persists with other training held elsewhere. At this time, there is no "DEF CON Seattle Conference" *with* "DEF CON Seattle Training"

Also, there is no, "DEF CON Seattle Conference"

It is possible there may be a DEF CON Training in Seattle, but when details are available for that, it should be on https://training.defcon.org/

If there will be a DEF CON training in Seattle, then details about it would appear on the training website. If there is no information about a Seattle DEF CON training, then there is no public information about the plans for a Seattle DEF CON training.

So I already see the training schedule for Seattle venue here https://training.defcon.org/collections/dctseattle2024. But I don't see conference registration being open for Seattle yet. I have reached out to DefCon via 'Contact' button so looking forward to their response.

As far as I know, there is no Seattle "Conference" : the only conference is in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

When you find an answer from contacting the training people, why not post their answer here for others that may have the same question?
