Policy Village
Policy @ DEF CON is an official function, integrated across the conference. Our mission is to bring together hackers and public policy makers, through talks, interactive workshops, and small group interactions, to have informed conversations which can lead to better public policy outcomes. Society is governed by public policy–otherwise known as “the tangled web of laws and regulations that hackers have occasionally been known to #DISOBEY.”
Policy @ DEF CON provides a safe space for representatives of all areas of security (including hackers, govvies, and hackers who are govvies) to come together and #ENGAGE. We will be hosting a number of speakers from multiple countries to elaborate on cybersecurity policy issues and workshop future ideas. Trying to get up to speed and want to be part of the change?
