    Ticket confirmation

I purchased tickets and have not received the confirmation email and can't find a number to speak to someone. I've emailed shop@mail.defcon.org and it has been sent back as undeliverable. Any ideas how to speak to someone?

For email delivery to your domain's email address to fail and for mail from your domain's email address be refused, both suggest there might be a problem with the configuration of your mail domain.Check your junk/spam folders for replies.

If you see an email from shop@mail.defcon.org or shop@defcon.org about your purchase in one of your mailbox folders for junk/spam, and this resolves the problem you encountered, then the rest of this reply may be of little value.

Checking mail logs, I see messages from email domains for shop@mail.defcon.org are arriving, being processed, and delivered.

I also sent 2 test messages (to 2 different email addresses for shop.defcon.org ) from a properly configured domain/SMTP server, and they arrived and were delivered without bounce

You could try sending email from another domain. We do see mail from other domains working and accepted for delivery.
In the logs, I see mail from gmail.com and outlook.com and yahoo.com and protonmail.com are being accepted and delivered as are mail messages from a bunch of other domains. (The list of domains sending mail being received is not an endorsement for these mail providers.)

The most common problems for poorly configured mail server trying to deliver mail to DEF CON domains include:
No PTR in DNS for SMTP server IP address(es) attempting delivery or HELO/EHLO of claims name does not match the PTR.
DNS records for DKIM, SPF, DMARC disagree with content of email being delivered, or IP address permitted to deliver for the claimed sending domain.
SMTP Server attempting to deliver does not support/attempt STARTTLS or only supports weak/old cipher-suites.
Those things on the sending domain you are using are managed by the domain owner, DNS admin, and SMTP admin.

You could take the "bounced message" you mentioned to your mail service provider to ask them to diagnose why your mail message was bounced, and why email to you is not arriving.
(Not scare quotes or sarcastic punctuation: double quotes here to identify the item of discussion as a single item, not a description for a message.)

I do not run shop.defcon.org and have zero access to order information.
I can examine mail server issues for mail arriving to shop@defcon.org and shop@mail.defcon.org
I do not have any phone number contact for shop@defcon.org or shop@mail.defcon.org for phone-based support.

The best suggestion I have is to use a different email address (from a different domain) which uses a different sending mail server, and try to email the addresses for shop.defcon.org
Have all of the purchase information available to let them know the problems you had with getting confirmation of your purchase.
