Trying to Form DC250 now that the old one has closed

    Hello DCGroups

I have previously on these forms chatted about reforming dc250 and found out it was still existent as a group. I Had a series of emails involving Adam915 and Ram, the previous head of dc250.

When me and my best friend Stickus spoke with a couple of the members explaining our idea for the society and getting it going and having other events, in person. The then leaders decided this was not the route that they wanted to take. They then emailed us a number of days later explaining how they were planning to close the society and all membership activities. If any staff would like those emails i am more the glad to hand them over.

I have tried emailing Adam915 a few times but to no avail. I can only imagine what his inbox looks like.

Me and my friend Stickus would still like to start a new society under the banner of dc250 as the old one is no longer functioning and would love to get the help of the community helpers to get this going. And have some wonderful stories about a social engineering attempt that went sideways along this journey.

Thankyou for your time. and hope to hear from you.

Thanks for your comments on this.
I do not work to organize DCG or assign new PoC.
Issues related to DCG and their assignment, changes of PoC, starting new DCG, are all handled by the DCG Coordinators.
    There is a FAQ: https://forum.defcon.org/node/231249
There is a doc on starting a DCG: https://forum.defcon.org/node/231250

All of the present interactions with DCG Coordinators, as mentioned in the online documents is email to dcgroups@defcon.org to reach DCG Coordinators that can make decisions.
You can keep your post here, but based on history of similar posts, you are unlikely to get a reply on the forums to answer your requests on a new DEF CON Group or changes to existing DEF CON Groups. The DCG Coordinators work through email: dcgroups@defcon.org

    Good luck!
