Ok, we've added another feature to Rootcompromise.org. We strolled our asses over to http://sourceforge.net/projects/lotgd and downloaded the source for Legend of the Green Dragon. It's a php equivalent of Legend of the Red Dragon or LoRD. As of this posting there are about seven people signed up.

Have a good time and we hope to see you playing. It gives us more people to kill. It's the first day of fighting so get in there and kill.

I seem to have a nack for finding level 2 people that I can't run away from. sucks. not only do I not have any gold, but experience is dropping now too. hmm... I guess I'm losing it in my old age

Get some armor. It's the only way to survive.

I forgot about the armor also.:p Do you have to wait an enitre day to come back to life? I died and knowing my memory I will forget and never return.:(

Hey i'm enjoying the game so far, but got pissed cause i died lol so i created another char.... is that illegal? lol cause if that is i'll delete it haha.

o and whats up with being able to get killed in the inn, i thought that was safe from others lol.

There are two play days per calendar day.
4PM and 4AM is when they reset.

Having two characters is fine as long as you don't kill either character with the other to gain kills or cash. We have already had to delete some accounts that have been doing this.

As far as getting killed too easily. Go slumming in the forest. It will make you fight weaker enemies so you can gain some gold, it won't give you that much experience though. You can make that up by thrill seeking later in the game.

You can be killed in the Inn if someone bribes the bartender, just like in the original game. Once again, get some good armor.

Ahh that makes some sense... I was wondering how you were making those 2 or so level jumps in one day.. ;)

I too have more than one char.. at first I did not know they came back to life. Killing your own chars is pretty cheap though.. like you guys can't read logs

Reading the php is a good way to learn a bunch of these things... I couldn't figure out how I was getting my ass nailed while I was at the Inn.. so I looked for all possible ways to accomplish this. open source has some advantages to players that can read heheh

Yeah, I like that about it as well. It lets you gain more of an understanding as to why the game does certain things. I've had to pour over the code a few times myself.

um, i die once every few days. And i kill about 3 people a day. We all die, we just wake up resurrected the next day.
